Transportation & Dispensing

At Mobius Renewables we specialize in safe and efficient natural gas transportation solutions that are critical to the energy infrastructure. We work with RNG developers and thermal users providing tailored services to ensure their natural gas needs are met with no need for traditional pipeline access.

A natural gas virtual pipeline system typically includes:

At the source, gas is compressed (CNG) or liquefied (LNG) to reduce volume and make it safe and economical to transport.

The compressed or liquified gas is transported in specialized, road-ready containers rather than through buried pipe infrastructure.

Storage solutions at the source, destination, or intermediate points help ensure continuous supply and accommodate fluctuations in demand.

At the delivery site, the gas is returned to its usable gaseous state through decompression or regasification systems.

Virtual pipelines are especially valuable for:

  • Remote or underserved locations
  • Industrial facilities awaiting permanent infrastructure
  • Temporary or mobile operations
  • Regions facing regulatory or geographic constraints

Mobius Renewables can also direct-inject RNG into an interstate pipeline or deliver directly to the end user. We currently own and operate two pipeline injection sites in the United States (in North Carolina and South Carolina), and over 20 dispensing units throughout Norway and Sweden.

Direct injection provides significant advantages for project partners and offtake customers. By interconnecting directly with an interstate pipeline, RNG gains immediate access to established transmission infrastructure — enabling broad market reach, improved pricing optionality, and reliable delivery to high-demand regions. It also streamlines gas quality control, metering, and compliance with pipeline specifications, ensuring consistent performance and regulatory alignment.

For customers, this means greater flexibility in structuring offtake agreements, reduced transportation complexity, and faster monetization of environmental attributes. For project owners, it enhances asset value, reduces bottlenecks, and positions the project for long-term scalability within the broader natural gas network.

At Mobius Renewables, safety is our top priority in every aspect of our gas transportation process. We understand the critical importance of safe handling, transportation, and delivery of natural gas, especially in the renewable energy sector. Our commitment to safety includes:

Adherence to all industry standards, federal and local regulations to ensure every phase of transportation meets the highest safety criteria. We maintain robust Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) management systems that guide our operations and help us achieve industry-leading performance, including a 0.0 injury rate.

We conduct routine inspections to proactively identify and address potential risks, and we actively collaborate with local emergency response groups to strengthen preparedness and community trust. Real-time monitoring of transportation lines, ensuring quick detection and response to any potential issues, minimizing risk.

Comprehensive safety training for all personnel, ensuring they are equipped with the knowledge and tools to maintain the highest levels of safety at every stage.

Implementation of leak detection technology and emergency response plans that prioritize environmental protection and public safety

Our transportation services are engineered to meet the growing demand for renewable energy while keeping safety and reliability at the forefront of every project. Our integrated approach reflects our commitment to operational excellence, worker safety, and environmental integrity.
